CPI started in 1990 and ended in 1994 on GM & Chevy Pickup Trucks and Vans

Fuel pressure must be 58 to 60 psi with key on, engine not running, and hold fuel pressure

bullet

If fuel pressure is under 58 psi, vehicle will not start. Don't be fooled!

Fuel injectors are not individually replaced

Common CPI Problems:

Fuel pressure regulator leaks. Passenger side of intake manifold will be soaked with gas.

bullet

Fuel supply and return lines crack. The driver side of the intake manifold will be soaked with gas.

bullet

Leaky fuel injector or poppet valve.
